With the different light settings, they can be used for many light conditions. These headlamps have been a great addition to productivity and safety for my guys. NiteCore products have been a great addition to my company. Love the diffused and two stage red light option and best of all its super lightweight!! Epic shipping speed as well! You can't go wrong ordering from the Nitecore Store!! Only things I see to improve are reducing the bulk of the headband and an even lower white light for near tasks that need more color. The low red is plenty for tasks in arms length and bright white enough for short bike rides. I can go for about a week of backpacking without recharging it. I borrowed a friend's NU25 for a few weeks and loved it so much I bought my own as soon as I returned it. Definitely stoked so far and I’ll keep you posted.

I always carry a small battery pack so recharge on the trail is easy! The light weight is a huge plus as well. And speaking of batteries, I’m sick of them. I have a habit of flipping a battery over in my old headlights to avoid accidental activation which has happened several times. I also appreciate the ability to lock it in the off position. Very bright when necessary and red light on high is bright enough to actually navigate around a campsite and do chores. Since I only recently purchased it this review is rather limited but I’m optimistic that this will be the “oneâ€. I’ve used many headlights in my backpacking adventures and so far this is my favorite. Skyler Mince from Houston, TX United States There's even a battery power indicator so you'll never be caught with low battery again.Ġ of 0 people found the following review helpful: Upon completion, the light will turn green. Use the included charging cable to plug the light into any USB source and a red indicator light under the control buttons will illuminate. Keeping the NU25 is super simple with a built-in micro-USB charging port located on the underside of the unit.

The NU25 comes with a built-in 610mAh li-ion battery that offers 30 minutes of runtime on Turbo and up to 160 hours on the lowest setting. The NU25 also features a lockout mode to prevent accidental button presses while stored in tight spaces. There are even three special modes (red caution/SOS/Beacon) for emergencies and signaling!ĭual switch controls located conveniently on the top of the headlamp control white and red outputs separately and make it easy to switch between all three outputs so you always know what light you're accessing. These assemblies feature remote LED drivers coupled to heat sinks. A primary CREE XP-G2 S3 LED emits up to 360 lumens of light with up to 88 yards throw which can be used for running, cycling, setting up camp and so much more. Our P56/64-LB LED light engines are exact swap-outs for incandescent Par 56 and 64 lamps. The NITECORE NU25 headlamp packages three outputs (white/high CRI and red) into an ultra lightweight body you can wear comfortably for hours on end. I'm not sure how it would go on a longer run.Get ready for one of the most versatile and compact headlamps NITECORE offers. I didn't eat at all for the last hour because I figured that nothing I ate at that point would process until after the race anyway. By about hour 4 I couldn't stand the gummies anymore so I switched to a Honey Stinger Waffle and Honey Stinger gel. I also ate a handful of potato chips and a couple oreos at the halfway point. This go around I drank a UCan shake before the race, ate a few Cliff Blok gummies every half hour, ate a UCan bar at about 1.5 hours, drank another UCan shake at the halfway point around 3:15. Nutrition on long runs for me is hard because I never train longer than 18 or 20 miles and I can usually get by without fueling properly up until about mile 18.

I'm curious what others do for nutrition on really long runs? It turns out, if handled super carefully, and consumed in small doses, that fly agaric might actually be edible, but I wouldn't risk it. And this one Amanita that was just too cool not to stop for a photo. I did see some lobster mushrooms on the run and a ton of jack-o-lanterns, among others. Nope, I limit my wild mushroom picking to chanterelles and cauliflower mushrooms (sparassis radicata). I assume the fly agaric was not part of your nutritional strategy.
